1. YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP SCHENGEN "Chess for Peace" Luxembourg

Am 8. Mai 1945 endete der Zweite Weltkrieg in Europa. Zur Erinnerung an dieses Datum und zur Förderung der Zusammenarbeit europäischer Länder fand in Luxemburg vom 8. bis zum 12. Mai ein Internationales Jugendturnier statt. Motto: "Schach für den Frieden".

On 8th of May 1945, World War II ended in Europe. In memory of this day, an international Youth tournament "Chess for Peace" took place in Luxembourg from the 8th until the 12th of May in order to promote cooperation between European countries.

8 maja skończyła się II Wojna Światowa w Europie. Dla upamiętnienia tego wydarzenia i dla pogłębienia wspólpracy krajów europejskich odbył się w Luksemburgu od 8 do 12 maja Międzynarodowy Festiwal Szachowy "Szachy dla Pokoju".
